Animated Oregon is House of Scordatura’s signature project – a bold and imaginative series of original animations paired with live music, all created by Oregon-based composers, animators, and performers. Each piece tells a story rooted in the spirit of our state, reflecting the landscapes, cultures, and creative voices that make Oregon unique. Curated by award-winning animator Zak Margolis, a faculty member at Pacific Northwest College of Art, the visuals are as captivating as the music, forming a rich, multi-sensory experience that is uniquely Oregon.
But Animated Oregon is more than just a performance – it’s a traveling celebration of homegrown art. We’re committed to bringing these works to communities across the state, from historic movie theaters in small towns to cultural centers in our biggest cities. And thanks to the leadership of our co-founder Ann Medellin, we’re also taking this work into public schools, performing for students and sharing Oregon stories through the combined power of music and animation.
To make this vision a reality, we’re seeking support from you, our patrons and fellow lovers of Oregon-made art. Your generosity helps us commission new work, support local artists, engage young minds, and share these stories with audiences statewide. Together, we can shine a spotlight on Oregon creativity, one town and one performance at a time.
